Weekly Homework for all S5/6 Students

Task:    Find and read one article from a news / magazine publication.  This can be found in a printed form or online.  The article can be a news / current affairs topic, or can be a review, sports piece, etc.

Questions on the article:

1. What are the main points the writer makes?
2. Identify three words you don’t know, and find the meanings.
3. Identify the tone (or tones) used by the writer.
4. Identify any interesting uses of language (e.g. imagery, anecdote, use of examples, etc.)
5. Summarise the article in fifty words.
