Knox Academy this year has had S1, S2, S3 and Seniors representing the school mainly playing local matches against the other 5 East Lothian schools. This year the team is coached by senior pupils Abbie Lindsay and Daniel Hogarth with the kind assistance of Miss Ward from the teaching staff.

Hockey has traditionally been a very strong sport at Knox Academy with links to the Haddington Junior team and Haddington Ladies team. There are currently a number of players within the East Lothian and East District training programme with 3 pupils in East Lothian Performance Athletes in Sports (PAiS).

News Flash:

Knox Academy took part in the S2 girls hockey tournament on Friday 25th March at meadowmill Sports Centre. Despite having no subs, and entering a mixed team of S1s and S2s, Knox drew 4 of their 6 games. They lost 2-0 to eventual winners Preston Lodge, and 1-0 to runners-up North Berwick "A".

The girls showed great spirit and commitment to play every minute of every game, and special mention must go to Rebecca Swinton who put in several outstanding performances in goal despite it being her first ever game in the pads! Well done Rebecca, I suspect a change of position might be on the cards!
