Knox Academy now runs two badminton clubs; a social club for all pupils during Tuesday lunchtime, and a development squad who train after school on a Thursday. Both clubs are run by Mr Clelland and Mike Mitchell, and have proven extremely popular. The development squad has been started in conjunction with East Lothian's Badminton Development Officer Christine Black to identify potential players for her silver and bronze squads.

Knox Academy has had some success over the last few years in the Badminton Leagues and currently has 2 Scotland Internationalists Megan Richardson and Hannah Laing, both of who are in the East Lothian Performance Athletes in Sports (PAiS) programme.
