Ben Nisbet, 5G1, volunteered at the Lammermuir festival held earlier this year. Here, he was a member of the youth team who dealt with front of house, assisting artists and selling programmes.
Ben was also part of the Young Critics Group. This meant that he would review vocal ensemble and Stile Antico, the reviews would then be assesed by the Scotsman newspaper arts editor and would feature on the Lammermuir Website. Artists at the festival included the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and Classical Brit winner Alison Balsom.
Well done to Ben I'm sure it was a great experience working alongside so many talented people!

Garleton has had some very successful sporting achievements at the end of last year.
First off was the badminton dynamic duo of Megan Ritchardson and Hannah Laing, 5G1 are now the under 19 national girls doubles champions.
Well done them!!! :)
Secondly Shaun Noon, 3G2 pedaled his way to victory to become the Scottish cycling champion.
We're sure 2011 will be as triumphant as 2010
