A number of staffing changes will take place from Monday 5th January 2009.
- Mrs Grant (Guidance) will take up post as acting Head of Biology, following the retiral of Mrs Chapman at the end of term.
- Mr Greenaway (PE) will take up post as acting Principal Teacher Guidance to cover the caseload of Mrs Grant.

Congratulations to the S6 pupils involved in the pantomime this year ... Aladdin!
An evening performance will take place on Thursday 8th January - tickets will be on sale during the first week back.

Another fantastic Christmas Concert took place on Wednesday 17th December 2008.
The evening got off to a rousing start with the entry of the Knox Academy Pipe Band, and ended with a moving rendition of Auld Lang Syne by the Senior Choir.
In between the audience was treated to a range of musical items including soul music, christmas carols and orchestral numbers.
Congratulations to the many talented pupils (and staff) who took part and made the evening the success it was ... they are a credit to the school.

This year 16 tutors groups entered the annual interhouse Christmas Box Competition.
The theme for 2008 was 'Pantomime' and each tutor group had to create a box decorated accordingly.
Once decorated, boxes are filled with lots of tasty goodies and distributed to the elderly throughout the local community.
We're never sure which the recipients prefer ... the contents or the decoration!!

Two special mentions...
Well done to S1 - every tutor group entered a box (50% of the entries!) which you'll see reflected in the prizes. You made a real effort and the boxes were fantastic!
Congratulations to the Admin Team - this year the office ladies entered a box on the theme of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs ... complete with musical accompaniment. They didn't win any prizes but get a special mention for enthusiasm and team spirit!

The Christmas Concert takes place on Wednesday 17th December at 7pm.
This year we have allocated seat numbers which can be found on the reverse of the ticket, ushers will be available to assist guests in finding their seat. Doors open at 6.45pm.
We look forward to seeing guests on the night - it promises to be another fantastic event!!!
