Knox Academy's U14 Boys Football team beat PrestonLodge HS 12-11 on penalties in the fourth round of the Scottish Plate.

With the match finishing 2-2 after full time, Robbie Watson and Calum Marr with the goals, the game went into a penalty shoot-out. Both Knox and PL missed one penalty a piece during the five regular kicks so the match went into sudden death scenario. Thankfully it was Knox who held their nerve and forced PL to make the mistake and will now have a home fixture in the next round.

Over fifty pupils from S1 and the cluster P7s took part in a fun afternoon of sports to raise money for Sports Relief.

The event organised by Rory Couper and Suzanne Laing (Active Schools Haddington Cluster) brought together a group of pupils who took part in Basketball, Table Tennis, Trampolining, Dance and Dodgeball. The group of participants also donated £2 each and completed a mile run in a relay format.

Active Schools use this event as a Transition experience for the primary pupils who will be attending Knox Academy next year. It allows them to meet the current first years and make new friends, meet some of the school sports club coaches and see the facilities that they will be using next year. This is the second time the event has fallen on Sports Relief and is a great way to raise money and awareness for the charity.

Early in the day teachers and S6 pupils guessed 'who could keep it up the longest' and raised £90 to add to the total.

Knox managed to sweep aside Dunbar Grammar on a windy day at Haddington Golf Club on Friday 19th March.

With a couple of changes to the team, Knox were unfazed and managed to play some attractive golf in some poor conditions winning 5-1. Blair Shearer, Murray Lorimer, Conor Bowles, Jack Rogan and Scott Mcloughlin all recorded wins with new comer to the team, Michael Love, just missing out in his match.

After winning 5-0 away at Musselburgh Grammar two weeks ago in a S1/2 mixed hockey match, Knox Academy managed to win again this time 4-3 to a much improved Musselburgh team.

Knox Academy played some great hockey and could have scored plenty more if it was not for the effort of the Musselburgh team in defense.

Megan Richardson and Hannah Laing won the Scottish Schools U16 Doubles title in Perth at the weekend.

Megan was also the unlucky loser in the girls singles final being beaten by the number 1 seed.
