S4 learners learning various Life Science skills as a taster for a future career or interest in this area.
A mixture of - first aid, moving and handling, health testing and screening, infection control and an NHS practical session.
Based at Milton Rd campus at Edinburgh College. This visit helps learners decide and choose courses at school or college to support final positive destinations.

Thank you all for taking part in World Book Day this year. Lots of fun was had by all!
We raised a fantastic £126.15 for our new School Newspaper.
The costume contest was amazing. Well done to everyone who entered and a bg thank you to our judges Mousa, Merryn and Miss Colquhoun!

HAPPY WORLD BOOK DAY!!!
We will be celebrating World Book Day today with a bake sale at break raising money to support our school Newspaper. At lunchtime there will be a costume competition in the library. The costume contest will start at 1.20pm.
Please do share your love of reading today throughout the school and have fun showing off all of your fantastic costumes!

Thursday 5 March 2026 is World Book Day!
Everyone is invited to join in the fun and dress up as their favourite book character. There will be a bake sale at break time as well as a costume competition in the library at lunchtime.
There is also a Traitors registration challenge happening all week so everyone can get involved!

Dundee Universitty EVENT - Join this with your Parent's/Guardians. This is not a school event.
Medic Insight Dundee is a student‑led society that runs free events for school pupils interested in pursuing a career in healthcare or medicine. Our aim is to widen access, demystify the medical profession, and support young people as they explore their future pathways.
Medic Insight Dundee is delighted to announce the launch of our brand‑new virtual lecture series, Meet the Doctor! We would be thrilled to have your pupils join us for the first event.
Our events are usually for pupils within the Tayside area however for this virtual series we are opening up to all S3-6 pupils across Scotland!
This series is designed for S3–S6 pupils who are considering a future in medicine and would like to gain a realistic insight into the day‑to‑day life of a doctor.
To kick things off, we are hosting a talk from an Orthopaedic Surgeon, who will share their career journey, clinical experiences, and advice for aspiring medical students.

- Location: Microsoft Teams
- How to join: Pupils can sign up using the link provided in this email.
- Before the event: A Teams link will be sent out the evening before or the morning of the event, along with a Padlet link where pupils can submit questions for the speaker.
Please note: Pupils’ cameras and microphones will remain switched off throughout the session. To make sure everyone can still take part, we will provide a Padlet link where pupils can submit any questions they would like the speaker to answer.

Further information on each of our courses can be found here and pupils/schools can apply directly from the chosen course page. Our courses are predominantly delivered flexibly, online and are an excellent way to compliment pupil’s curriculum choices from S4 to S6.
We are also holding an online open event on 25 February 2026 from 4pm till 4.30pm, which will give pupils, teachers, and parents the opportunity to learn more about each course and meet the programme leaders. We would love for you to join us, please book your place here open day booking. A recording will be sent to those who book, even if you cannot attend on the day.
