MORE TRAMPOLINING SUCCESS

2 pupils from Knox Academy took part in the first Scottish Gymnastics Grading Competition of 2012. Both pupils, competing for City Of Edinburgh Trampoline Club, did the school and their Club proud at this event!

Caitlin Oliver (class 2T2) was taking part in her first Scottish Gymnastics event, competing in the Club H Under  15 category alongside 19 other entrants from across Scotland. Caitlin performed 2 well executed routines and finished in 9thPlace.  A very promising result for her first Scottish circuit event.

Lloyd Connell (class 4T3) was competing in a new category this year after having successfully attained move- up scores late in the 2011 season. The Regional F Over  15 category is a tough group with all individuals focussed on increasing routine difficulty and form with the aim to attain move up scores to Regional E. Lloyd held his own in this category, finishing in 3rdplace and missing the required move up score by only 0.1 points!

Congratulations to both Caitlin and Lloyd, and everyone at Knox wishes them all the best in any future events.

Both Caitlin and Lloyd have attended trampolining lessons run by City of Edinburgh Trampoline Club at Knox Academy. If you would like your child/ward to take part in trampoline lessons, please ask them to contact Mr Lambert, the school's Sport & Physical Activity Co-ordinator. More details on trampoline classes can be found in the news story below.
