Wilderness Foundation are now accepting applications for their May and June 2017 Imbewu programme, this is a fully funded programme and particularly suited to students aged 14 – 17 years, with an interest in a career in the outdoors or rural sector. More details about the programme can be found here.

The dates for this years programme are:

10th – 16th May 2017

7th – 13th June 2017

Deadline for applications for both programmes is Friday 31st March

They have up to ten places available on each week and will be working in partnership with the Douglas and Angus Estate.

University of Strathclyde are hosting an Engineering the Future for Girls event 19th - 23rd June 2017.

Employees from BP and BAM Nuttall and Researchers from the University of Strathclyde will engage you in a range of challenges that will inspire you to consider a career in engineering.
If you see yourself as an engineer of the future or have never considered engineering as a career option before, but want to find out more about it, then the Engineering the Future for girls week at the University of Strathclyde is just for you.

Congratulations to the S1 Football team on winning 8-0 in the first round of the East Lothian Cup against Dunbar.

There will be a Pre-Coursing event for all S4/5 pupils today from 2.30 pm until 4.00 pm.  This will be at various venues across the school.  Your Period 5 teacher will take you to where you are meant to be.  Presenters will rotate and pupils remain at the same venue.

The S3 St Georges Hockey Tournament is next Friday 10th March, at Peffermill. Last year we had a great run at this event and I am sure we can do even better this year if everyone commits to playing. Players must collect a parent info letter from Mr Wands before Thursday.

Knox Sport is running our 1st ever ‘HADDINGTON DANCE SHOW CASE’ in the Assembly Hall on Wednesday 22nd March – Performances running from 6-8PM
If you have a dance group (or dance as an individual) and would like to take part please let Mr Wands Know by the end of this week – Friday 3rd March

Please could Italian Explorers 2017 attend another very brief meeting this coming Friday 3 March 2017 at break to collect some freshly printed letters and a Final Statement.

The next payment of £75 is due this Wednesday.  Thank-you to everyone who has already made this payment, and also to those who have made full excursion payment in advance.
