After success at the Panasonic UK KWN Awards 2012, the Knox KWN Team formed 'Knox Academy Film Productions'.

On Friday 10 August 2012 at the Global Awards Ceremony, held at the Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden, London, they were presented with the Global Best Documentary Award.  This was after successfully competing against 6 finalist Regional Grand Prix winning schools from around the world.

Further details of their KWN journey can be viewed here...

Below are a selection of the films produced outwith the Panasonic Competition:

Haddington Rugby Club - Promotional Video

This video was created to encourage youngsters to play rugby and show them, and their parents, that it is safer than it may seem as the games are strictly structured to suit the age group.

KONY

A small and dedicated group of Knox students - Owen McHugh, Eilidh Munro and Saimah Uddin have created a KONY documentary (see below) which was viewed during registration across the school on Friday 29 June 2012.

Community Assemblies

We have invited prominent members of the local community to speak to all pupils about their role in the Haddington Community at various times,  and why Haddington is such a good community to live in.

Many thanks to the speakers who have given of their time:

  • Joe Forte from Joe Forte Sports
  • Tom Trotter, local councillor
  • Jo Lochhead, The Bead Shop
  • Debi Gliori, Local Children's Author
  • Mike Hoppe, representing Haddington Business Association

Debi Gliori spoke at a virtual assembly held in February 2012.  The video can be viewed below.
