One week ago, Knox Academy held a Festive Fayre on Saturday 10 December 2022. The expectations were high! When the day came, everyone had the same ambition: to have success, fun and make a profit. I decided that everything I made was going to the “My Name’5 Doddie Foundation’’. The foundation is a charity set up by Doddie Weir, an ex-Scotland rugby player, and is all about finding a cure for MND (Motor Neuron Disease). MND is NOT a contagious infection that can be spread. It is a disease in which your muscles slowly waste away until your lungs fail, and you sadly die. This is a curable disease, but it is underfunded and with more money they may find a cure and possibly sooner. The Social Subjects Support Classes Timetable is now available for Session 2021/2022.
All members of staff will support you in your studies. Please speak with individual teachers to discuss any additional support required to assist you in achieving your AMBITION.
As part of the P7 Transition programme this year, a number of subject areas are delivering a Remote Lesson to the Primary 7 pupils.
Last Wednesday 24 March 2021, it was the turn for Business Education. As a follow-up to that lesson pupils were asked to come up with an idea for a new Fruit Juice Drink, design the packaging and present this alongside information about the ingredients, target market and slogan.
We received some fantastic designs for our mini-competition, which was judged by Leila Maycock, Eilidh Robertson and Mr Dempster. Leila and Eilidh have been coordinating this series of lessons with teachers across the schools, and communicating with the Primary 7 pupils via Google Classroom.

read more...We are delighted to announce that Flo Fendick in S1 (2020/2021) has been announced by Sky as having being placed 3rd in the nationwide competition to design a poster to illustrate "Apprenticeships are for Everyone". Many congratulations to Flo.
Sky said: "We loved the use of the message and the creative way Flo showed the different professions involved."
