The new group from S1-S4 is due to start on Wednesday 27 March 2024 and its members will meet every second Wednesday (4.30pm – 6.00pm) at The Gatehouse, Musselburgh.
East Lothian Champions Board is a group of young people who have lived experience in the care system. We come together once a fortnight to get their voice of change out to people in power to make big changes for all lived experienced young people. We have an established group which has been running since 2015 and are now starting a group for young people of the ages of S1-S4!

Carefest is a market stall style event showcasing the range of supports and opportunities available to East Lothian’s Care Experienced young people and Young Carer community. The event will include a wide range of breakout sessions throughout the day as well as some tasty snacks and refreshments.
Who is Carefest for?
Carefest is for East Lothian’s Care Experienced and Young Carers communities’ from Primary 5 and above. We are also really keen to extend the invite to parents and carers as well. We would love to see as many people as possible in attendance throughout the day.
When and where is Carefest?
Carefest will be held on Thursday 21 March 2024 at North Berwick High School. The event will be open in the morning between 10.30 – 12.30 and again in the afternoon between 13.30 – 15.30.
