East Lothian Council is committed to providing the best education service in Scotland through a relentless focus on Inclusion, Achievement, Ambition and Progress for All. We aim to ensure East Lothian’s children, young people and families are confident and resilient, and fully included as valued contributors within their schools and communities. As we work with children, young people, their families and other partners involved in their lives, we generate and gather information fundamental to ensure Getting it Right for Every Child and raising attainment and achievement.
In schools, we have a duty to record and retain relevant information about our children and young people’s well-being, attainment, achievement, additional support for learning needs, care experienced, child protection and young carer status and needs.
