This week they are highlighting a rather topical lecture by the University of London on ‘Curing Disease’ - Becoming a Computational Biologist. Dr Adrian Shepherd’s research group works on immune responses to several viruses that have a major global impact on human health. He uses computational biology to discover and map virus behaviours and to generate statistics in order to detect possible routes to developing a cure for such viruses. In this lecture, you will learn about the methods used in biology against influenza as an example, and what is ahead for biologists of the future.
