It is not too late to apply for our February half term 2023 Virtual Routes into STEM course. This unique course offers a content for students covering:

  • College Life, University Life as well as Apprenticeship routes in the different settings of college, university and industry.
  • Live sessions to meet and ask questions to STEM students, ambassadors and industry professionals.
  • Workshops in various sectors such as:

Ø  Design and the Built Environment with Arup, Murphy, Balfour Beatty and others.

Ø  Transport and Flight with BAE Systems, Network Rail, Leonardo etc and Studying Aerospace Engineering at University.

Ø  The future of Technology by WCIT, studying IT at college and university, Phyton Tutorial and more!

Ø  The Future of Medicine at University, GSK and NHS Careers.

Ø  The Electric Revolution and Net Zero Explained by Innovate UK, Siemens, Rolls-Royce and many more!

Ø  Energy including Babcock International, Cory Riverside Energy, Bechtel etc.

Ø  Problem Solving – Maths and Forensics including Maths at University, Maths Careers, Forensic Science etc.

 

Places are limited so if you haven’t applied yet, do not delay and apply by the 23rd January.

Please note:  there is a cost for this course, but you can apply for a bursary (this will cover the cost)

Can Do are looking for volunteers aged 15+ to support disabled young people to access recreational playscheme and youth club provisions. Volunteers should be kind, caring, patient and have the capacity to support other individuals with care needs.

This placement would suit anyone looking to gain skills and training in: Care sector, education, sports & leisure, physiotherapy, nursing, speech & language therapy, arts, events, social work, community development, youth work and to grow their own confidence.

Full training, support and volunteer expenses provided.
