Knox Academy is working hard to improve it's communication with parents.  We now make use of the Parentmail system which allows us to email groups of parents with information, which is also sent home via the school bag but doesn't always get there!  If you haven't yet signed up but wish to do so please click the link below which will divert you to the Parentmail site...

Following the elections which took place on Wednesday 22nd October, Kim White was elected as a Parent Member of the Knox Parent School Partnership.

At the same time, and after consultation with the school management and the other parent members, Andy Greathead was appointed as an Associate Member of the Partnership.

The relevant part of the constitution reads:  ‘ The Partnership may from time to time co-opt up to five additional associate members to assist it with carrying out its functions. These may include representation from pupils, local councillors, community leaders and others. Associate members will be invited to serve for a period of one year, after which time the Partnership will review and consider requirements for the coming year. An associate member may contribute and advise as a full member, but is not entitled to vote.’

Knox Academy will be launching the Parentmail system in August 2008.  This allows us to communicate with parents via email, where appropriate, reducing our reliance on 'pupil post' and ensuring we are doing our bit for the environment by cutting down on unneccessary photocopying.

If you are a parent/carer of Knox Academy and you have not already signed up for Parentmail but wish to do so, please contact the school office at knoxacademy@knox.elcschool.org.uk or 01620 823387 for more information.

Parents/carers who have not signed up for Parentmail will continue to receive hard copy correspondance.  Any items of a confidential or personal nature will continue to be sent home via pupil post or the Royal Mail.
