S4-S6: PRELIM EXAMINATION TIMETABLE NOVEMBER - DECEMBER 2026

We would like to inform parents, carers and students that the S4-S6 Prelim Examination Diet will take place from Friday 20 November to Thursday 10 December 2026.

The prelim examinations provide students with valuable experience of formal examination conditions and help prepare them for their final assessments later in the academic session.

Students should:

  • Check the attached timetable carefully.
  • Note the date, time and location of each examination.
  • Arrive in good time for all examinations.
  • Bring the required equipment for each subject.
  • Speak to their Guidance Teacher or Class Teacher if they have any questions regarding their examinations.

HELPING WITH THE COST OF LIVING CRISIS - ELC LEAFLET

Many households are worried about their finances, with lots of people now struggling to meet day to day living costs amidst rising food prices, fuel costs and more.

Council Officers are working hard, in partnership with other agencies, third sector organisations and local communities to get help to where it is needed most.

The forthcoming planned days of strike action on 15th, 16th and 17th March 2023 declared by the Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS) has now been called off.

LETTER - HEAD OF EDUCATION STRIKE UPDATE - MARCH 2023

Dear Parents and Carers

Further to my letter of 20 February 2023 in regards to strike action, I am writing to advise that three further days of strike action on 15th, 16th and 17th March 2023 have been declared by the Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS).

Wednesday 15th March 2023 (EIS - all teachers in Primary schools only).

Thursday 16th March 2023 (EIS - all teachers in Secondary schools only).

Friday 17th March 2023 (EIS all teachers in Primary and Secondary schools).
