Now that the new term is well underway, I wanted to write to you with a further update. This is not the way we were hoping to begin this year, but our schools have been preparing for the possibility of further remote learning since last year and you can be reassured that we are doing all that we can to support our children and young people. I am very proud of everything that our schools are achieving despite the restrictions that are in place. Full details available in letter issued 25 January 2021 from Lesley Brown, Director of Education.

During this period of remote learning the principle we are working to is about delivering high quality remote learning opportunities for all young people which:

 Provides timely feedback which is transparent, actionable, ongoing and consistent.  Includes opportunities for connectivity to help pupils and teachers stay connected, support pupil well-being.  Offers real-time support to pupils who need help accessing their learning.  Contributes to an overall range of remote learning experiences, including collaborative learning experiences, which foster engagement and meet the needs of diverse groups of learners. Full details available in letter issued 12 January 2021 from our Head Teacher.

First and foremost, Happy New Year to you and your families. I hope you managed to have some fun and relaxation during the festive break. I am sure you would agree with me in saying this is not the start we had wished for the New Year! However I know that we will work together, to provide the best support we can, to ensure our young people’s progress during the forthcoming period of remote learning. Full details available in letter dated 8 January 2021 from our Head Teacher.

Please see below timetables for S1 and S2 pupils only. S3 - S6 pupils should follow their usual timetables during this period of remote learning.  Miss Cook will also be sending an email to all our pupils directly making them aware of the arrangements for Monday, so please ask them to check their EduBuzz accounts in advance.
