This is a fantastic opportunity for Families/Parents/Carers to pop into one of the Neurodiversity Drop Ins with Salveson Mindroom and Families Together East Lothian.
The Drop Ins offer friendly supportive advice and information for diagnosed or suspected Neurodiversity; including Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Tourette's Syndrome and ADHD.

One of our pupils is receiving medical treatment for cancer/leukaemia that puts them at risk from measles, chicken pox and shingles. If they come into contact with anyone suffering from these conditions the pupil requires to be given some protection against them. Unfortunately this needs to be given within 72 hours of the contact.
We would ask therefore that if your child develops, measles, chicken pox, or shingles that you inform us immediately so that appropriate action may be taken.
Your child is not at any risk from this situation, however, the health of our pupil does depend on your co-operation in this matter.
As from 3 June 2019 the new school times will be as follows.
Details of the new week structure including the timing of each lesson as well as break/lunch are also available.
A letter with details of the school times and information about school buses will be issued to pupils on Friday 24 May 2019 at registration.
A message about Money Mules from Police Scotland...
Dear Parent or Guardian,
Across the country, young people are increasingly being asked by fraudsters to receive and send money through their own bank accounts, sometimes keeping some of the cash for themselves. This is commonly known as being a money mule.
Criminals need money mules to launder the profits of their crimes. Mules will usually be unaware of where the money comes from – often fraud and scams – and that it can go on to fund crimes such as drug dealing and people trafficking.
Fraudsters will approach young people online or in person, including through social media, and at school, college or sports clubs. Sometimes it’s people they know who persuade them to become a money mule, often because they are also doing it.
Being a money mule is illegal.
When someone is caught, their bank account will be closed, and they will have problems getting student loans, mobile phone contracts and credit in the future. They could even face arrest for money laundering which carries a maximum sentence of 14 years in prison.
We need your help to warn young people about the dangers and consequences of becoming a money mule.
Tell-tale signs that someone might be involved include them suddenly having extra cash, buying expensive new clothes or top-of-the-range mobile phones and gadgets with very little explanation as to how they got the money. They may also become secretive, withdrawn or appear stressed.

A letter was sent home to S3 pupils this morning to invite parents/carers to our BGE Graduation Ceremony at 11 am on Friday 31 May 2019.
At this event we will celebrate our S3 pupils' achievements during their first three years at Knox Academy. The move from S3 to S4, or to the Senior Phase, is a very significant one and we want to highlight the exciting opportunities (and challenges) ahead for all our young people.
As part of this event we will have an inspirational speaker(s) and will present certificates highlighting achievements across the last three years.
We request that the tear-off slip is returned by 10 May 2019.
