This is a fantastic opportunity for Families/Parents/Carers to pop into one of the Neurodiversity Drop Ins with Salveson Mindroom and Families Together East Lothian.

 

The Drop Ins offer friendly supportive advice and information for diagnosed or suspected Neurodiversity; including Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Tourette's Syndrome and ADHD.

Some more information, from East Lothian Council, has been released regarding the Common School Day

As you will see, Knox Academy will move to this on 3 June 2019, which is the date we start our new timetable. 

East Lothian Council is still compiling a ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ document and once they have done this we will add this to the school website.

Following our values of Ambition, Respect and Community as a school we have decided to set up an Inclusion (Equity) Fund. We are all too aware there are so many amazing opportunities offered to pupils throughout their school career that can be difficult to access because of financial constraints and this should not be a barrier to participation. We want to encourage our pupils to be ambitious, support our school community and respect the individual circumstances of every family and therefore hope you will agree that an Equity Fund would go a long way to improving the educational experience of a number of our pupils.

A letter with full details was issued at registration to pupils this morning.
