I’ve just set up our Scholastic Book Club school group order online. This means you can now order all the books in your Book Clubs leaflet. S1/2 pupils will receive a catalogue from their English teacher and other year groups can collect a copy from the Library. You can browse the Scholastic catalogues at Scholastic Knox Academy Club and, what's more, you'll be able to have your books delivered to school for FREE!

You need to order your books by Friday 16th November 2012. After that date, I’ll confirm that all orders are in and the books will be delivered to school for me to hand out in class. For every £1 you spend 20p goes back to our school to spend on much-needed books for our library!

Take a look at what’s on offer here Scholastic Knox Academy Club – there are some great bargains with books costing as little as £1.99!

Kind regards

Mr B. Plain

Fantastic success was achieved by S1 and 2 pupils using Accelerated Reader software.

During English classes pupils took 1,038 book quizzes. and read a staggering 45,728,963 words in the last school session.

19 S1 pupils passed their certification target with 12 S2 reach their target certificate.

The software which uses quizzes on pupils personal reading books, develops reading ability and allows pupils to track their own progress with personal reports.

Parents and Carers can see how pupils are progressing on Accelerated Reader through Home Connect AR. To receive the link for Home Connect AR please contact either Mr Plain or your child's English Teacher.
