Once again our S1 pupils have not disappointed and have been a credit to themselves!
Over the last few weeks they have been working in Business & IT to plan the launch of their own Deli. This has involved considering brand names, logos, and choosing a suitable location. Each group carried out market research on potential product ideas from a suggested range of Soups, Sandwiches and Smoothies. Product labels were designed, and consideration to suitable packaging. Promotional material was created including business cards and flyers, with a view to their display at their 'stall'.
Each group was asked to deliver a short presentation to invited parents and guests on their allocated day.

In the Mathematics Department we will issue each learner with an updated Assessment Profile (example here, previously issued before Christmas) and a Learning Journey grid. The Assessment Profile will include information on progress so far and details of how you can support your young person.
Here is our plea:
Home-School partnership is crucial to raising attainment and we really need your help so please keep encouraging your young person to work through their Learning Journey grids and sign each block when you have checked their work.
