In S1, pupils follow an integrated course which includes Geography, Modern Studies and History. Within this course, it will include Geography about Scotland, India and the USA.

Scotland

In this unit pupils will have the chance to look at map skills including grid references, scale and symbols. They also look at population and the weather and climate of Scotland.

India

In this unit pupils will learn about population, the river Ganges, Monsoons, waterborne diseases and farming.

USA

In this unit pupils will learn about climate change, waterfalls, hurricanes, volcanoes, tornadoes and hot and cold deserts.
