The Art Department were highly excited to be working with artist Gemma Coyle in association with the Peter Potter Gallery in Haddington.

Two S2 classes worked with Gemma to produce an animation which is now on show at the gallery until 11 June 2011 as part of their 'Art and Landscape' exhibition. S4 pupils have also been given the opportunity to exhibit their work in the gallery, and their work can be seen in the space just outside the cafe area on the first floor. Pupils who live in Pencaitland and take public transport to and from school will be affected by the change of operator on this route.  The school has received the following information.

Please be aware that First Bus take over this route from Prentice Coaches on Monday 16 May

Morning:  the 123 Service will pick up in Pencaitland at 08.20 am

Knox trampolinists secured an impressive 3rd place in the City Of Edinburgh Trampoline Club Schools Championships on Sunday 10th April at Lasswade High School. The team missed out on 2nd place by 1 point, and were only 3 points off eventual winners Liberton High School.

There were some excellent individual performances from Callum McQuade who won the Novice Secondary Junior Boys event, and Lloyd Connell who finished 3rd in the Elite Secondary Junior Boys event.

Knox Academy golfers Alasdair Hastings and Murray Lorimer delivered strong performances in the East Lothian Scottish Schools Golf Qualifier at Luffness on Friday 29th April 2011.

Alasdair won the event, with Murray finishing in 3rd place, meaning both will represent East Lothian at the National Scottish Schools Competition at Murrayshall on Monday 6th June.

We need your help on Saturday 4 June 2011!  All proceeds go towards your children.

Last year we organised a Festival Café at the Neilson Park Fun Day which, thanks to your support, was a great success with the Community and in raising funds for the school.
