Knox Academy golfers Alasdair Hastings and Murray Lorimer delivered strong performances in the East Lothian Scottish Schools Golf Qualifier at Luffness on Friday 29th April 2011.

Alasdair won the event, with Murray finishing in 3rd place, meaning both will represent East Lothian at the National Scottish Schools Competition at Murrayshall on Monday 6th June.

Congratualtions to both on their outstanding performances, and good luck in the Scottish Schools Competition!

Alasdair and Murray were also part of the Knox team who narrowly missed out on winning the East Lothian Schools League to Preston Lodge. Other players in the team were: Connor Bowles, Jack Rogan, Campbell Hastings, Scott McLoughlin, Michael Love and Jamie Duguid.

Well done to all players on a very strong year for Knox golf, and a big thank you to Maths teacher Fraser Tait who has given up many of his precious Friday afternoons to accompany the boys to fixtures!
