S4-S6 EXAM LETTER

This morning pupils in S4-S6 were issued with a letter concerning the forthcoming SQA examinations.  The letter details procedures throughout the examination period, the issue of examination results, the return to school after the examination diet and the procedure for pupils leaving Knox Academy.

EASTER HOLIDAY REVISION

A reminder to parents/carers that the school closes for the Easter break on Friday 8 April 2011 at 12.05 pm.  Pupils and staff resume on Tuesday 26 April.

For S4-S6 pupils this break is the ideal time for some independent study in preparation for the Final Exams in May. 

As in previous years, staff are providing Easter Revison sessions which we encourage pupils to attend to assist in their studies.

SCOTTISH YOUTH PARLIAMENT RESULTS

Following the vote for the Scottish Youth Parliament Elections in March, young people in East Lothian have elected 3 Representatives for the SYP - one of whom is a Knox Academy Pupil!

The successful candidates are;

  • Lachlan Bruce (Ross High School)
  • Sam Elliot (Musselburgh Grammar)
  • Chloe Riva (Knox Academy)

1 April 2011

Last week, Knox Academy had success at the Young Enterprise Awards Evening held in Edinburgh on the 24 March. ‘Pride of East Lothian’ came second in the Overall Best Company category, with Andrew Gilmour taking first place as the Best HR Director and Craig Rafferty and Fiona Cleat placed joint third as Best Finance Director.
