SCRAPYARD VISIT

Last week, Miss Leggatt took two sixth year pupils, Emilie Sandy 6G1 and Ryan Bissoonauth 6G2 to Sam Burns Yard at Prestonpans on Monday 1 November.  They were looking for a chair to use in the up coming drama production of Sweeny Todd.

The group were successful in purchasing a swivel chair suitable for converting into a gothic barbers chair. The sixth year helpers will be doing the practical conversion in the Design Technology workshops in the next few weeks ready for the show just prior to Christmas. Read more about SCRAPYARD VISIT

RME VISIT TO ST MARY'S CHURCH

Standard Grade Religious Studies pupils travelled down to St Mary's Church in Haddington recently to see the Church as part of their Christianity course.

Jennifer MacRae, the Minister there gave a short talk on the Church and the rites of passage which happen there, mainly Christenings, Weddings and Funerals.  This followed up her visit to the class where she spoke about what it means to be a Christian and her role as a Minister in the community.  She was fantastic about fielding some tricky questions from pupils.  Read more about RME VISIT TO ST MARY'S CHURCH
