Within the Higher Economics course pupils will cover 3 key units:
Microeconomics – the problem of unlimited wants and limited resources and how the market promotes the efficient allocation of resources.
The UK Economy (macroeconomics) – economic variables such as inflation, unemployment, and government economic policies.
The International Economy – The position of the UK in international terms and the effect of the EU on the UK.
Assessment:
The course is assessed through 3 Internal NAB assessments and one externally marked question paper.
