Thursday 5 March 2026 is World Book Day!
Everyone is invited to join in the fun and dress up as their favourite book character. There will be a bake sale at break time as well as a costume competition in the library at lunchtime.
There is also a Traitors registration challenge happening all week so everyone can get involved!

Dundee Universitty EVENT - Join this with your Parent's/Guardians. This is not a school event.
Medic Insight Dundee is a student‑led society that runs free events for school pupils interested in pursuing a career in healthcare or medicine. Our aim is to widen access, demystify the medical profession, and support young people as they explore their future pathways.
Medic Insight Dundee is delighted to announce the launch of our brand‑new virtual lecture series, Meet the Doctor! We would be thrilled to have your pupils join us for the first event.
Our events are usually for pupils within the Tayside area however for this virtual series we are opening up to all S3-6 pupils across Scotland!
This series is designed for S3–S6 pupils who are considering a future in medicine and would like to gain a realistic insight into the day‑to‑day life of a doctor.
To kick things off, we are hosting a talk from an Orthopaedic Surgeon, who will share their career journey, clinical experiences, and advice for aspiring medical students.

- Before the event: A Teams link will be sent out the evening before or the morning of the event, along with a Padlet link where pupils can submit questions for the speaker.
Please note: Pupils’ cameras and microphones will remain switched off throughout the session. To make sure everyone can still take part, we will provide a Padlet link where pupils can submit any questions they would like the speaker to answer.

We are also holding an online open event on 25 February 2026 from 4pm till 4.30pm, which will give pupils, teachers, and parents the opportunity to learn more about each course and meet the programme leaders. The Opportunity

This four-year programme combines practical learning with academic study. The chance to become a Health Physics Monitor Apprentice. During the course of this 2-year Apprenticeship, you’ll learn from our industry-leading experts and gain valuable experience, whilst studying for Level 2 qualifications in Radiation Protection. You can expect on-the-job training and the kind of practical experience you simply can’t get in a classroom. Our Health Physics Monitor Apprenticeship offers a starting salary of £25,139.
You will provide safety-related advice to operators by taking radiation and contamination measurements using specialist equipment, interpreting the results and applying them to real life scenarios.
