The Food Court Staff would like to announce the Christmas Menu for 2011.  This will be served on Tuesday and Wednesday next week (13/14 December).

Pupils pay £2.10 for 2 courses and £3.00 for 3 courses.

Local teenager Holly Ramage came back from the Northern European Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Sweden with a silver medal.

The event at The Fyrishov Arena in Uppsala brought together youngsters from the host nation, Iceland, Norway, Finland, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Sixteen-year-old Ramage attends Knox Academy and is a member of Lasswade GC. In the all-around competition she gave a very creditable performance finishing eighth. Read more about HOLLY RAMAGE EXCELS WITH GYMNASTICS

For many people (of a certain age, perhaps!), the word Jackanory takes us right back to our early childhood where we listened or watched the BBC programme of that name.  It was the simplest of ideas: someone read a story into the microphone, or to camera.  All you had to do was listen.  The word Jackanory comes from an old nursery rhyme:

On Tuesday and Wednesday, S5/6 pupils sat their practical Music prelims. Judging by the lovely sounds of music that emanated from the hall, they have done very well and I look forward to hearing about the results.

On Tuesday evening, the pupils studying Advanced Higher Business Management and staff from the Business Education Department attended a very successful ‘teambuilding’ event: a meal at Frankie and Benny's and a visit to the cinema. We have arranged for individual photographs to be taken for year groups S3, S4 and S5 on Monday 5 December in order to update our records.

These photographs will be available for purchase by parents/caarers.

Pupils are encouraged to be smartly turned out in school dress code.

Wednesday 30th November

Please note that due to the proposed industrial action and subsequent school closure, all extra-curricular clubs on Wednesday 30th October have been cancelled.

All clubs on other days this week will run as normal.
