Kids Witness News (KWN) is a global film competition run and funded by Panasonic.
This year the Knox Academy team members are Caitlin Wright, Saimah Uddin, Owen McHugh, Eilidh Munro, Rhona Taylor, Becky Cole, Andrew Waddell and Janina Calder-Petrie, all S3 pupils.

2 pupils from Knox Academy took part in the first Scottish Gymnastics Grading Competition of 2012. Both pupils, competing for City Of Edinburgh Trampoline Club, did the school and their Club proud at this event!
Caitlin Oliver (class 2T2) was taking part in her first Scottish Gymnastics event, competing in the Club H Under 15 category alongside 19 other entrants from across Scotland. Trampoline classes at Knox Academy run by City of Edinburgh Trampoline club will begin next Wednesday 1st Feb and next Friday 3rd Feb. The classes have been running for many years now at Knox, and pupils receive top quality coaching for the CEtC coaches, many of whom perform on the British trampolining circuit themselves. Classes are very popular amongst girls and boys at the school, and pupils always find them extremely good fun, as well as being an excellent way of staying fit and active.

Knox Academy pupil Aarond Duke (3L2) will continue his rapid progress on the Trials Bike circuit in 2012 as he steps up to Intermediate level. Aaron was Scottish Trials Bike Novice Champion in 2011, and finished in the top 10 of the British Novice Championship in the first two rounds before stepping up to Intermediate level for the final round. We were very pleased to receive the photograph below of the sunrise over the school on Monday 23 January 2011.
The photograph was taken by C Hall (parent) and reflects the start of a new learning week at Knox Academy.
Due to unforseen circumstances the Burns' Night Celebrations scheduled for 25 January have been postponed.
"A Taste of Scotland" will be held on Tuesday 8 March.

On Tuesday, after two cancellations before Christmas, the ‘Dance another Day’ disco took place. The disco was organised by a group of S5 pupils as part of their ‘Self and Society’ course and the Knox Academy Support Group (KASG). I am sure all the pupils who attended had a great time and, certainly, they had made a big effort with their dress and looked wonderful.
