For the first time ever, the Eco-Committee will be organising a clothes swish for Knox Academy students. A swish is an event where people can:
- get a new wardrobe at zero cost
- clear out their own wardrobe by donating unwanted/unworn garments
- help the environment by diverting clothes from going to landfill
In order for our first ever swish to be a success, we need clothing donations to get us started. We will accept the following items:
- Uniform items (no hoodies)
- Formal wear (for prom - such as dresses, suits & ties)
- Jeans, jumpers, trousers, shirts, shorts, outer wear, shoes
- Items in sizes appropriate for S1 and older
- Items that are clean & in good condition
We will NOT accept:
- undergarments, swimwear, jewellery
Donations can be brought to the main office labeled for the Eco-Committee or students can bring donations to Ms. Laudi directly. The deadline for bringing in donations is Friday 17th March. We hope that the Knox Community will engage with this event as the Eco-Committee is really enthusiastic about promoting a culture of re-use!
