Thanks to the commitment of staff and local community members, there are now even more opportunities for pupils at Knox to become involved in sport and physical activity.
Knox Academy Boxing Club now runs every Monday lunchtime in the small gym. The club is a great for pupils to burn off any excess energy, but also helps pupils learn how to control aggression and develop self-discipline. The club is run by local boxing enthusiast, Hamish Colgan who also runs East Lothian Amateur Boxing Club in Haddington.
Haddington RFC Development Officer Scott Marnich has started skills development coaching sessions for U15, U16 and U18 rugby players during Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes. The session run on the school pitches, and give players the chance to develop specific skills relating to their position.
Teachers Dr Wilson and Miss Montgomery have started a yoga club during Wednesday lunchtimes in the small gym. The club is open to all pupils, and is a fun and relaxing way to keep fit.
Miss Morson's cheerleading/dance club is proving extremely popular and runs every Thursday after school in the small gym.
