ALL PUPILS: LGBT HISTORY MONTH (21-25 FEBRUARY 2022)

This week Knox Academy are celebrating LGBT History month. We will be learning about and celebrating different LGBT figures in history. If you would like to learn more about influential LGBT+ figures click here. 

This Friday is purple Friday (25th) and pupils are encouraged to wear purple or anything else that is colourful to celebrate LGBT History month.

We will also be encouraging pupils to pledge, 'I actively encourage and promise to support any of my peers who identify as LGBT+ at Knox Academy’ and sign the flag this week.

Each year group has an allocated time this week to do this:

  • Tuesday 22nd - assembly hall - 13:15 - S1
  • Tuesday 22nd - assembly hall - 13:30 - S2
  • Wednesday 23rd - assembly hall - 13:15 - S3
  • Wednesday 23rd - assembly hall - 13:30 - S4
  • Thursday 24th - assembly hall - from 13:15 - S5 and S6
