The Voice of the Future Conference 2002 will be hosted by George Watson's College in the week beginning 8 June 2020. The Conference is designed to provide an opportunity for young people from Scotland and around the world to meet together and to develop their capacity to be the Voice of the Future by researching and debating issues that will shape their lives.

During the four-day event you will examine the issues of Human Population Growth, Artificial Intelligence and Genetic Engineering. You will work in committees, conduct research, interrogate specialists, debate ideas and produce an issue paper, resulting in a petition to Parliament.

You will also have an opportunity to watch First Minister's Questions at the Scottish Parliament, attend a dinner at Merchant's Hall an attend a reception at Edinburgh City Chambers.

This is an amazing opportunity to meet pupils from around the world (there are confirmed delegations from Ukraine, France, Malawi and Australia) to discuss issues, and will be a great addition to a CV, especially for those pupils interested a career or further education in Law, Politics, Economics, Geography or Science.

If you are interested, or would like more information, please attend a meeting in Mr Barnhurst's classroom (DR3) at break-time on Thursday.
