Placement overview

The opportunity Canon offer is to assist in providing a young person with knowledge and experience in working alongside a Canon Service Engineer over a 3 Month period (see attendance pattern below) as well as attending a Canon Scotland  sales meeting and observing an operational Sales Team reviewing monthly sales performance.

The program will develop skills to assist in the preparation for the world of work with a work book as evidence at the end of the period.

Placement period and attendance pattern

The placement period will commence on 4 October to 20 December 2012

The attendance pattern will consist of three days (4 October, 1 November and 4 December ) based at East Lothian Council Headquaters in Haddington  - John Muir House working alongside a Canon Service Engineer.

A fourth day in December will consist of attending a monthly sales meeting in Livingston to observe a team of Public sector Account Managers review a monthly sales period .

  • Will be willing to support a Canon Service Engineer
  • Have good communication skills ie. listening and relaying information
  • Keen to learn about a Multi-National sales and service organisation
