More than 4 million people have fled Ukraine and another 6.5 million have left their homes to escape the conflict. Heavy fighting, shelling and air strikes across the country have had devastating consequences for civilians, most of which are children. Homes have been destroyed, families have been separated and lives have been lost.  We are watching a humanitarian disaster, we can help.

On Friday 8 April 2022 we will be raising money to support those affected by the conflict, donations will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee which help provide food, shelter and medical support.

We are asking Knox Academy staff and pupils to donate what you are able to afford on Friday and to wear Blue and Yellow to show your support for those in Ukraine. Please give what you can.

Thank you,

The Social Subjects Faculty
