This year there are 6 candidates who have shown the ambition to take on one of these positions as part of our school community.

We had such a massive response for this trip with 75 S2s but only 8 S3s.  I'm sad to say not one S3 name came out of the hat! So sorry for any disappointment.

Thursday is election day! 

Every pupil and staff member will be able to select one candidate they would like to see as our Head Pupil for 2026/27.

S2 - S5 will be voting in the Food Court, your Teacher will send you down at your allocated time. 

S6, Meadowpark pupils and Staff can vote in the Library from 8.45am - 12.15pm. 

If you are out of school on Thursday you can cast your vote early - please see Ms Bulloch to do this.

LGBT+ Allies Pride Week

As most of you will know, this month is Pride Month. Pride is a vital time for those who are part of the LGBT+ Community as it is a time to celebrate their identities and share their experiences.

The LGBT+ Allies group will be continuing their annual tradition of celebrating Pride week from Monday 15th June - Friday 19th June.

There are plenty of fun, Pride-themed activities taking place each day.

  • During Monday lunch time in the library there will be a collaboration between the Knox Academy student newspaper club and the LGBT Allies group tackling “What is Pride?”.
  • On Tuesday at the same place and time there will be a “Read With Pride” event, where participants will take part in a discussion on queer fiction and non-fiction books and get information on a Heartstopper related reading challenge.
  • Wednesday lunchtime there will be a Pride Party in Ms Fletcher’s classroom (T1.1, Modern Languages).
  • Thursday lunchtime in the library there will be a Pride bracelet/sign making session.
  • To round off a jam-packed Pride week on Friday there will be an opportunity to wear something rainbow in addition to your school uniform to show your support to the LGBT+ community, and at break there will be a bake sale, the profits of which will go towards Knox’s Pride fund.

If you would like to bake for the bake sale please email Ms Fletcher at lfletcher@edubuzz.org or Ms Stobie at nstobie@edubuzz.org and let them know what you are planning to make.

The Scripture Union Group will be meeting on Tuesday 16 June 2026 at lunchtime in L3 (Support for Learning).

They normally meet on a Wednesday but this one off is to give the P7s the chance to come along.

CALLING ALL MUSICIANS! The Music Department will be hosting a lunchtime showcase of musical talent for the p7 Transition on Tuesday 16 June 2026. Prepare a song/piece of music and pop along to the Music Department to perform during lunchtime. You're free to leave once you've performed. We look forward to giving the p7s a lunchtime to remember!

Knox Choir will be hosting a 'pop up' lunchtime choir session for the P7 Transition on Monday 15 June 2026 in the Music Department. 

Everyone in Knox is welcome to come along and join in. Bring your lunch!

Knox Choir is always open to new singers - students and staff. Once you've performed with us three times you earn a pink hoodie! Choir rehearsals will resume in August on Wednesdays after school (3:30 - 4:15pm)
