Knox Christmas Concert Rehearsals will involve performers, ushers, hosts, stage crew & lighting. Please refer to the schedule below & make sure you know when you are due to be rehearsing. 

The Matinee Christmas Concert will take place 11:30am  - 1pm on Thursday 11th Dec. 

The Evening Concert will take place at 7pm on Thursday 11th Dec.

Seasons' Greetings!

Knox Academy will be holding two winter dances for pupils:

  • S1-3 Ball on Monday 8 December 2025
  • Senior Phase Ball on Tuesday 16 December 2025

The events will run 7-9 pm with doors open from 6:45 pm.

Tickets will be £3. They will be available for purchase over iPay soon.

Haddington Christmas Lights will be switched on at 5 pm on Sunday 23 November 2025.

Come along and join in with some community carols round the Christmas Tree outside the Corn Exchange at 4:30 pm with the support of some of Knox's brass & woodwind players and singers from Haddington Community Church, Haddington Community Choir and Knox Choir. A festive opportunity to pursue our school value of Community. Lyric sheets will be provided.

If so, sign up for our annual festive trip to see Cinderella at The Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh. Cost is roughly £25 per pupil including coach and ticket. Please see Ms.Breslin ASAP should you wish to go. Numbers are limited (30) The trip is on Thursday 4 December 2025 and we will be out all day!

TICKETS The Knox Christmas Concert 2025 will take place on Thursday 11 December 2025 7-9pm. Tickets are selling fast. £4 adults, £2 children/concession CASH ONLY The Music Department at Break.

S1 CHRISTMAS CHOIR The whole S1 year group will perform Follow the Star at the Matinee Show (11:30am) in front of Community guests. All S1s should come to school in white shirt & school tie. Parents were sent a letter with information and have been asked to inform the school before the 1st December if they do not give consent to their child being in the group photo. S1s who would like to sign up to sing in the evening concert should give their names to Mrs Middlemiss before 1 December 2025. 

AUDITIONS We have two slots available during the concert. If you would like to perform a solo or with friends then please come to Music on Wednesday 19 November 2025 at lunchtime. You will be asked to perform about a minute of music.

REHEARSALS - WEDNESDAY 10 & Thursday 11 December 2025 The Rehearsal Schedule is on the Music Noticeboard and attached below. Senior performers should check there are no clashes with the new prelim dates and inform Mrs Middlemiss ASAP if there are any issues.

The S1 choir will rehearse in the hall period 2 on Wednesday 10 December 2025. You should meet your class teacher in the Social Area to be registered and then we will practice walking onto the stage, singing and walking off.

Book Week Scotland 2025 is here!

Book Week Scotland – Welcome to Falkirk Literacy

On Monday 17 November 2025 at lunchtime the library will be hosting bookish craft sessions. 

Pop along to make your own bookmark, learn the art of paper folding, or make some festive themed paper crafts. 

In English, classes will complete a bookish quiz with prizes to be won for the top scorers.

Photograph proofs arrived in school earlier this week.  S1 and S3 students have had these distributed via registration teachers.

Many of the S6 have already collected their proofs directly from Mr Dempster, although a number are outstanding.

All S6 plus sibling(s) have been collected so these should have made their way home by now.

The S6 Group Photograph proofs haven't yet arrived in school.
