Calling all writers! Mr Welsh is starting a new club focussed around writing. Whether you like to write creatively or see yourself more as a journalist, all interests and talents are encouraged!

If you are interested in creating worlds filled with fantasy, having the fate of your characters in the palm of your hand, and - most importantly - having a laugh, please let Mr Welsh or your English teacher know this week!

There are currently spaces on the Knox Academy Achievement Ties Committee for the following year groups S3, S4.   A review of the 2nd round of nominations is currently underway and we would love some more S3 and S4 pupils to be part of this.

What does the role involve?

Committee members make decisions on who or what qualifies for an Achievement Ties award.  The role will be quite straight forward and mainly involves you making and sharing your decisions on individual applications twice per academic year.

Why should I do it?

This is a great opportunity and is something you can add to your experiences and CV; so its useful in applying for other positions or jobs in the future!  Taking part will demonstrate communication skills as you will share your opinions with others; it will also demonstrate that you go above and beyond by contributing to the wider school community.

If you can participate please come and see Mr Clark in Room M8 by Wednesday of next week (10th May).  If you are unable to attend then please email: aclark1@edubuzz.org(link sends e-mail)(link sends e-mail) or drop in at lunchtime.
