Anticipation and excitement has been building all week as we have been frantically selling raffle tickets to raise funds for our Breakfast Club. As promised a mention at the end of this newsletter to those who very kindly donated prizes - we had an overwhelming response not only for prizes but tickets sold resulting in over £500 being raised for our Breakfast Club. When it comes to thinking about options, parents have a big influence on what our children choose to do. So, that means we need to know what we are talking about. East Lothian Council are holding a careers and job event 10 am - 2 pm, on Saturday 7 March 2020 at Queen Margaret University.
The event focuses on the wide range of opportunities available in Early Learning and Childcare – including jobs available now.
It’s a growing sector – by 2020 the sector in Scotland will need up to 11,000 new recruits. Not all of these will work directly with children as practitioners, managers or childminders, but also in support services such as catering.
It’s a free event for anyone who has an interest in this area, or who would like to find out more.
A range of exhibitors will be there covering every aspect of the industry.
It’s never too early or too late to play a difference in shaping young children’s lives.
More details are available on the East Lothian Council Website.
