The doors at the end of the PE corridor leading out to the playing fields have been broken again (fairly regularly the safety magnet that keeps the school secure stops working).  This is because they are overused throughout the school day.  To minimise their use pupils are NO LONGER allowed to use this as an exit/entry unless they have permission from a PE teacher.  They are definitely not allowed to be used at break time or lunch time.

NHS Lothian would like to invite young people/parents/service providers to an Apprenticeship Information Session, to find out about all the great apprenticeship opportunities NHS Lothian have to offer.

REMINDER - The Community Vaccine Team will attend school today (Tuesday 23 April 2024) from 9a.m to administer HPV vaccinations to S1 pupils who have returned their consent forms.

All school DofE pupils taking part in the expedition this week should attend a brief meeting at morning break in Mr Boyle's room - to discuss updates and amendments to this weeks expedition.

I am offering a young person of either gender or none a training opportunity and introduction to the world of stonemasonry.   I am currently building myself a new house in an old stone barn. The existing building requires an extensive program of renovation.

A mason’s mate is a semi skilled operative that understands the processes involved in working with traditional lime mortar. They learn how to batch all the different mixes and consistencies required for the various operations of building, pointing and repairing stone walls. They learn how to assist the mason to pick out and repoint the multitude of completely different mortar joints found on a traditional stone building.  I would like to think that this would be a tremendous opportunity to secure a proper apprenticeship.
